Histogram

A graph that shows how many pixels there are at each brightness level.

The left side of a histogram is shadows, the right side is highlights, the middle is midtones. If the graph bunches up on the right, the scene is going to clip and lose highlight detail. If it bunches on the left, shadows are going to block up. A well-exposed scene usually has a spread across the whole range. The app shows a live histogram if you want a numerical view of exposure.
