Color temperature
Also called: Kelvin, white balance
How warm or cool a light source looks, measured in Kelvin.
Candle light is around 1800 K, tungsten bulbs are 2700 to 3200 K, midday sun is 5500 to 6500 K, blue shade is 8000 K or more. Daylight film is balanced for 5500 K and tungsten film is balanced for 3200 K. If you shoot daylight film under tungsten light you get a warm cast; if you shoot tungsten under daylight you get a cool cast. The app reports the live color temperature and recommends correcting filters.
